The week in recalls
High-risk recalls led the list, with a fresh-cut fruit producer and a compounding pharmacy standing out. The rest is long, but a few entries deserve a careful look.
Recall CanaryUpdated
Another week, another round of recalls. There were 109 recalls listed this week, and most of them were medical devices and food. The ones that matter most are a pair of high-risk recalls: a fresh food producer and a compounding pharmacy. So let's start there.
The main story is Taylor Fresh Foods products, sold in 27 states, which may be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella can cause serious infections, especially in young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. If you have any of these products at home, check the recall notice and throw them away. Do not eat them, and wash your hands and any surfaces they touched.
There is also Victory Medical Center Pharmacy Glutathione Injection, a high-risk recall because the vials may have elevated bacterial endotoxin levels. That can cause fevers, low blood pressure, and severe allergic reactions. If you have this product, do not use it and contact your provider. Separately, Isuzu NPR HD trucks have a do-not-drive warning because the liftgate deck pins may break and let the platform fall. If you drive one, park it and get it checked.
That is the short version. The full list below has everything from this week, so take a look and see if anything you own is on it.
