Week of March 9–15, 2026
The week in recalls
A heavy week for medical devices and vehicles, with a high-risk insulin pump defect and a wheel warning telling drivers not to drive. Food recalls also brought hidden drug ingredients and bacteria worries.
Recall CanaryUpdated
Here's what got recalled this week. There were 54 recalls, mostly medical devices and vehicles. The ones that matter most involve an insulin pump defect, a do-not-drive wheel warning, and supplements with hidden drug ingredients. Let's start with the insulin pump.
Insulet's Omnipod 5 Pods have a manufacturing defect that can cause insulin to leak inside the pod, leading to under-delivery or no insulin at all. This is high risk because people with diabetes rely on these pods to deliver insulin continuously. If you use Omnipod 5, check your pods and contact Insulet for replacements.
Vision Wheel is recalling certain aluminum aftermarket wheels because the material may have inconsistencies, causing the wheel to crack after hitting a bump, pothole, or curb. The agency warns: do not drive with these wheels. Also, male enhancement supplements from Pure Vitamins and Natural Supplements contain hidden sildenafil and tadalafil, which can interact with medications. And Honda is recalling certain CMX300, CMX500, and CL500 motorcycles because a handlebar lock screw may loosen and detach, interfering with steering.
